The Steel Target Co. is operational from 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

Are you contactable over a weekend or bank holiday?

Accepted Answer

We welcome communications over the weekend and on bank holidays but we can not guarantee a response until the next working day.

Can I visit The Steel Target Co. HQ in Cheshire?

Accepted Answer

As it stands we only allow visitations to our Cheshire HQ if a product collection has been confirmed by appointment only.

Question 4

Do you sell your products in a shop front at your HQ in Cheshire?

Accepted Answer

As it stands, we do not have a shop front. All sales are handles via our website and all products are distributed out of our Cheshire HQ. Collection of an order can be arranged from our HQ via appointment only.

Are your targets all made from Hardox500?

Accepted Answer

You will find exact material information stated in our product profiles. All of our centrefire targets are made from 10mm Hardox500 steel unless stated otherwise. If in doubt, read the specification in the product profile.

Question 6

Can I pre-order a product if it is not in stock?

Accepted Answer

Yes, however we don't take pre orders on our website. If you would like to place a pre-order please get in touch by filling out the form on each product profile or contact us direct. We do this for your benefit. Our production schedules fluctuate and we prefer to deal with all pre orders direct to ensure you only make a payment when the product is ready to dispatch. Note, some pre orders may require a deposit.

Do you guys attend any trade shows or shooting shows?

We do! We currently only exhibit at the Stalking show (Stafford). but we aim to attend more shows in the future. If you sign up to the steel target co. club (Email notifications) you will be kept in the loop with all events and promotions.

Do your product prices include shipping?

Accepted Answer

The prices shown on our product profiles do not include shipping costs. These costs are calculated and added during the checkout process. Due to a lot of our products being quite significant in weight, prices can fluctuate depending on the weight of the product and the shipping method required.

Do you offer discounts to commercial rifle ranges and similar outfits?

Accepted Answer

We offer a unique target supply service to any professional outfit with a requirement for steel targets. Please get in touch with the team to discuss your requirements and we will talk you through what we can offer.

What calibre are your targets rated to?

Accepted Answer

Great question. Our target calibre ratings are stated in a helpful table in our "Safe Shooting" section on this website. Calibre rating is dependant on how fast your bullet is and how far your shooting from. If in doubt, please get in touch and ask one of the team if your rifle will be safe and able to shoot our targets.

Is shooting steel safe?

Accepted Answer

Shooting steel is safe, but the correct set up procedures must be used to ensure the safety of the shooter and anyone in the surrounding area. Most of our targets are hard to set up in an unsafe manner due to their design but please read our "Safe Shooting" section and make sure you set up our products following our advice.
